Referee Clinic in English 11th - 12th of March

The coming weekend, 11th - 12th of March, the Icelandic basketball federation will host a referee clinic in English. This clinic is open for anyone who speaks English. On Saturday, the clinic starts at 09:00 in the morning and should take about 3 hours. The clinic will be held at Engjavegur 6, 104 Reykjavik, 3rd floor (https://ja.is/korfuknattleikssamband-islands/). On Sunday 12 March, the clinic starts at 11:20 and should take 3,5 hours. Aðalsteinn Hjartarson, FIBA referee instructor will host the clinic.

All participants will graduate as referees. Those who are interested can start refereeing official basketball games in Iceland. All referees are paid for their work, which is a chance to add to your income stream. All participants need to bring their computer or tablet for the course.

The course material includes the basics of refereeing, such as the rules of the game, and referee mechanics, and on Sunday everyone will referee on court with help from Aðalsteinn. Graduates can referee in the lower men's leagues and the older youth groups immediately. Everyone who graduates will also receive a referee whistle.
